Application Process

This is how Red Apple does it...other offices may be different!

( A DEPOSIT IS ALWAYS REQUIRED ONCE APPROVED! )


  • Applications are submitted online.
  • Go to www.RedAppleRealtors.net to apply
  • EVERY TENANT IS  REQUIRED TO HAVE RENTER'S INSURANCE.
  • Click on the vacancies tab and scroll to the property you have toured in person.
  • Our app fees are $40 per adult.  (Even if you are married.) (Adult = 18 and over)
  • The tenant provides the information that gathers any background, credit or criminal information.
  • If you enter your social or birthday incorrectly, you'll have to re-apply (& re-pay)
  • Info typically goes back 10 years.
  • 500 minimum required on credit score.
  • No utility bills allowed in collections for approval (water, gas, electric, cell phone bill)
  • Small dogs are allowed on most properties; Please ask about cats. 
  • $350 non refundable animal fee per animal. Animals include ALL animals, not just dogs and cats (snakes, fish, guinea pigs, birds, puppies, hamsters, lizards, etc.) 
  • No aggressive breed dogs allowed.
  • ONCE APPROVED, YOUR DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS! 
  • Deposits are the same as your rent amount.
  • Renters insurance is required by all; if an animal of any kind is on the property, that animal must be listed on policy.
  • Timely payments and slow pays are reported through Experian monthly. 
  • Paying on time can help build credit; paying late can harm credit.

Some things to remember about renting: 

Rent is always due on the 1st, with a grace period through the 3rd. 
Late fees begin at midnight on the 3rd.
Late fees are 5% of your rent amount on day 4, then half that amount every day thereafter. 
Don't be late. 
Once you sign the lease, you are officially a tenant for the term agreed to in your lease.

If life happens and you need to move out early, we have a plan in place which is agreed to as part of your lease. 
The document covering that plan is called "Moving out Early?")
All leases are subject to a lease-break fee if you break your lease because of any life situation.
(That fee is typically half of your deposit amount)
Red Apple, REALTORS has a "90 day Inspection" and a "Lease Renewal Inspection" plan in place. 
If you have pets, we may do a walk through after 90 days of occupancy; If you agree to renew your lease with us, we will DEFINITELY do a walk through before we send your lease renewal document.  


Things to prepare for upon move out:

A 30 day notice is required
Carpets are to be PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED upon move-out
(a LEGITIMATE INVOICE is TO BE PROVIDED FROM A REAL CARPET CLEANING CO otherwise the carpet cleaning will be hired out and deducted from your deposit) 
You will receive a "Possible Deductions" page that will be a good cleaning guide for you as you clean.
You are to exit by 5pm on your last day of the lease.
